I know it is hard to believe for some of us, but pigs are pretty dang cute with their curly tales, sniffling snouts, and beguiling eyes. So, if your tot asks for a pig theme, you can proudly host them the PIG Birthday Party!

For your invitations, take red cardstock and make a tri-fold – like barn doors opening up to the inside. To make it look more barn-like, use a black marker to draw lines down the front for the wood planks and door handles. On the inside, paste an image of a big pig and write the party details on his tummy. Or, for an easier option, you can get adorable premade PIG invitations.

As your guests arrive, present them with their own pig ears! Your little piglets will enjoy making their own curly tails out of pipe cleaners and tape or paper clips. Traditional party games will keep everyone entertained, so think of a PIG piñata, Pin the Tail on The PIG, and Musical Piglets (just like Musical Chairs). Don’t forget to send the kids home with their themed the PIG party favors!

Pigs like slop, but I think our cuisine should be a little more cultured. Hamburgers, baked beans, potato salad, and veggies are all yummy items that you might eat at the farmstead. “Pigs in a blanket” made with wieners and Pillsbury Crescent Rolls is a cute little treat to add, too.
