Wizards of Waverly Place is a cute show about a typical family going through typical daily life, but with a not-so-typical trait: they are all magical wizards. Celebrating your child’s special day with a Wizards of Waverly Place Birthday Party will be a fun time!
When you order your party supplies of plates, napkins, and the like, you can get some colorful invitations featuring the super cute Alex Russo. If you feel like it, you can easily create your own invitations from home. Using bright colored cardstock, fold it in half and on the front, paste an image of Alex Russo (or any of the Russo clan). Add in some enchanting stickers like wizard hats, wands, or black cats and include the party details inside.
Here are a few ideas to keep the kids entertained at the big event, yet they are simple enough to keep you from feeling overwhelmed:
– Wand Making: have children decorate thin wooden dowels with ribbon, tissue paper, glitter, and sequins or jewels to personalize their own Wizard Wands
– “The Wizard Thinks”: (played much like a game of 20 questions) While wearing the wizard hat, the “wizard” must think of a character from the show and the rest of the guests, by asking a variety of questions, must guess who the character is
– Wizard Chairs: a game of musical chairs set to the music of Demi Lovato (the star who plays Alex).
– Party Favor Box: send the kids home with Wizards of Waverly party favor boxes or little favors like stickers or temporary tattoos.
Even though they are wizards, they are still a regular family with growing teens who relish in classic teenage food. Pizza or burgers, fries, vegetable sticks with dip, and fruit skewers should satisfy all the hungry magic users.
We might not be able to use real magic, but with this fabulous Wizards of Waverly Place Birthday Party, it will *seem* like we do!
Just a note – Selena Gomez plays Alex. She also has a CD out. Demi Lovato is on Sonny with a Chance.
