To make your own invitations, start by cutting green cardstock in the shape of a pea pod and two small circles. Put a slit in the center of the pea pod and glue to the front of your white card. Insert the two “peas” (the circles) into the slit so they are halfway out. Decorate the peas with hair and cutesy faces before writing your part details on the inside. There are adorable ‘Two Peas in a Pod’ themed invitations you can buy, too, along with matching party supplies.
For a first birthday party, activities and entertainment can be super simple. They’ll mostly be excited about their cone hats, but you can, of course, try games like Hide & Seek, Blanket Race (pull the kids gently around on blankets), Blowing Bubbles, and Finger Painting. Reading books and singing songs always delighted my babies, too.
Your twins and guests will enjoy finger foods most of all, like cheerios, cut up fruits and veggies (don’t forget the peas!!), little sandwiches. Serve up cupcakes for desert, especially if decorated with cream and green frosting. Don’t forget the birthday bibs!
The Two Peas in a Pod Party will be fabulous x 2! All of these great party supplies can be found on our Twin’s First Birthday Party Supplies page.
