I think it was Hanna Montana who sang, “I might even be a rock star!” Who hasn’t dreamed of such a thing at least once in their life? The cool thing about this motif is that you can really get down and boogie with it… umm…. Too lame? Anyways, your kids will love a Rock Star Birthday Party!
Cut out a star shape on cardstock and decorate with gold paint and glitter. On the back, write your invitation details, encouraging your guests to dress like a Rock Star. There are some wicked “Party like a Rock Star” invites you can get, too. When decorating, lay out the red carpet and hang glittering stars or rockstar wall decals.
Set up a karaoke machine for a Rock Star Competition. Make it as non-threatening as possible with silly judges, a good mix of songs, and lots of applause! The kids will really get into the professional sound effects from their own Magic Microphones. A game of “Name That Song” is a lot of fun, as well, especially if you throw in some older tunes that make it a challenge for the …ahem… younger crowd.
For fancy chow, arrange triangular pizza slices into a star shape and serve up with swanky cheese trays, croissants, chocolate dipped strawberries, and fruit salad.
Your guests will feel like stars with these ideas for a Rockstar Birthday Party!
