Amidst the smell of burning rubber and the roar of engines, it’s time to race to the checkered flag of party planning awesomeness with a NASCAR Birthday Party!
For invitations, draw a racetrack scene on white cardstock. Place race car stickers on the track and write, “Ladies and Gentlemen! Start your engines!” Include all of your party details inside. There are some very cool invitations ready to purchase, should you so desire, as well as matching party supplies.
Before your party, set up big cardboard boxes to look like race cars by cutting off the tops and bottoms and adding door handles to the outside. Have the kids decorate their cars with glitter, markers, stick-on foam letters, and stickers. After their cars are complete, they can race the obstacle course you set up with orange cones, tires, and toys. Another idea is to set up a straightaway track on the floor where they can race their pullback toy cars (it comes as part of a Party Favor Box you can purchase with your party supplies). Other games can include Tire Relay where they have to roll a tire to the end of the track and back to their team to trade off or Red Light, Green Light.
Burgers and Hot Dogs are completely appropriate, as well as fast track snacks like pretzels, raisins or nuts. Offer up some pasta salad, fruit cups, and tortillas with salsa, too. Mmmm!
It’s full throttle to a wickedly cool NASCAR Birthday Party! Yee-Haw!
