Lego’s are hugely popular among kids and have been since 1949! Imaginations have been nurtured and the inventing mind cultivated – who would have thought such a toy could produce those wonders? A Lego Birthday Party is the way to go for your tinkering, imaginative, and inventive child.
Invitations that look like a Lego would be awesome – cut out colored cardstock into a rectangle that fits your envelope. Using the same colored paper, punch out circles to paste to the top of the card in columns to look like the Lego binding pegs. Write something cute like “Let’s build a Lego Birthday Party!” Include the party details on the back. Premade invites and matching party supplies are available, too.
To keep the kids entertained, have a Lego Tower building contest with a variety of awards (tallest, coolest, most colorful, etc). Another idea is to buy a building kit and hide all the pieces for a scavenger hunt – the children must work as a team to find all the pieces and then construct the building. Other games can include Musical Lego Chairs (musical chairs, but pretend the chairs are Lego construction), Top the Tower (they have to add the last block to the tower blindfolded, sort of like Pin the ‘something’ on the ‘something’), and a good old’ fashioned piñata. The good times continue all the way home with a cool Lego Party Favor box.
Keep things simple with burgers or hot dogs, fries, veggies with dip, and fruit salad. Have a large assortment of toppings so the guests can “build” their own burgers.
With a Lego Birthday Party, your child will have tons of fun.
