“Its Happy Bunny” is a quirky, sarcastic little character dreamed up by Jim Benton and has become quite popular with the tween/teen crowds. So, for sure, here are some ideas for a Happy Bunny Birthday Party.
You can create some invitations pretty easily by, first, printing an image of Happy Bunny on white paper. Glue his little arrogant body to bright, colorful square of cardstock and write your party details on the back in black glitter ink. Add a snarky comment like, “You aren’t doing anything. So come to _____ birthday party.” There are some super bright Happy Bunny invitations available to purchase if you aren’t in the creative mood. You can also get a fabulous set of tableware and decorations that highlight “HB” in his glory.
Now, Happy Bunny is a unique individual with original world views, so you need activities that cater to his interests. So, how about a contest of derisive measures? Using part of a motivational quote, see who can complete the sentence with their own saucy ending. For example, “Whatever the mind can conceive…. Should be locked away because Happy Bunny isn’t listening.” Encourage the kids to be creative, but not offensive. Another idea is to send the kids on a scavenger hunt for vegetables (plastic or real) since that’s just what bunnies eat. Use silly clues to keep the kids guessing.
Since kids have a different idea of appetizing food than bunnies do, it might be best to serve up something they would like. Mini pizzas, chips & dip, and pretzels should do fine, but add in some carrots and celery sticks (not JUST for bunnies!) and some yummy carrot cake.
While a little weird, Happy Bunny is funny, too, so have fun at your Happy Bunny Birthday Party!
