Frogs are adorable in the eyes of children with their bright green skin, long sticky tongues, and big googly eyes! So, encourage your kiddo’s love with a Frog Birthday Party!
Using green cardstock, make up invitations by cutting out frog shapes. Glue sticky eyes, draw a big mouth, and attach a long pink tongue cut out of construction paper. On the back, encourage your guests to “Hope on Over to ______ Lily Pad…” There are really cute pre-made frog party invitations available, as well.
You can really jazz up your party locale with fun decorations – think of GREEN! Green leaves, plants, vines, streamers, and balloons. Cut out fly shapes on construction paper and hang from the ceiling for a really frog-tastic idea! Froggie tableware or wall decals will enhance the theme for sure.
The party goers will enjoy fun games such as Musical Lily Pad (just like Musical Chairs) or Fly Toss where they throw a bean bag (with a fly drawn on it) as close as they can to the frog’s mouth on the poster board frog you created (lay it flat on the floor). A Frog Jumping contest is amusing, too, so see who can jump the farthest, the silliest, the craziest, or the shortest. A frog pinata is always a hit as well.
Our little frogs will eat up Chicken Nuggets, fruit, Flies on a Log (Celery stick with peanut butter and dotted with raisins), Chips & Fly Dip (black bean dip), and Frog-Eye Salad.
Of course frogs are cute, but our kidlets are cuter. Especially when they are enjoying the wonderful Frog Birthday Party we’ve thrown for them!
