We all remember this beloved game with its bright colors and sweet premise. A Candy Land Birthday Party is a fun, whimsical way to celebrate your child’s special day.
To create an invitation, cut out white cardstock and fold into a card. Make the front look like the Candy Land game board with a colorful block path and add candy stickers. Write “It’s a sweet way to celebrate _____’s birthday!” Include the party details inside. Of course, the option of purchasing invites is completely acceptable, so feel free to add tableware and party supplies, too. If you choose some messy activities, encourage your guests to bring appropriate clothing.
For some fun entertainment, let the children make their own Candy Land House out of graham crackers, frosting, and candy. Other ideas can include:
- Blind Folded Candy Tasting
- Candy Relay where they carry a piece of candy on a spoon to pass to the next racer
- Candy Land Walk: place large squares of different colors on the floor (like the board game) and play just like Cake Walk where a color is called out and whoever is on it is out
- Play the Candy Land Game!! Yea! In fact, there are some other versions of the game you can try, too, like the Candy Land Castle Game
The kids will also enjoy a Candy Land themed party favor box to take home.
A Candy Land menu needs to be colorful, so think about sandwiches in the shape of gingerbread men, rainbow-colored goldfish, bright fruits and vegetables, and Jell-o. Of course, candy should be allowed on this special occasion, right?
A Candy Land Birthday Party is a sweet treat indeed.
