At first glance, the monsters and DJ Lance seem a little… unusual. But, they are a HUGE hit with the toddler crowd these days and I can now see why! With great music, booty-shakin’ dance moves, and themes that revolve around friendship, you really can’t go wrong with a Yo Gabba Gabba Birthday Party.
Make up an invitation with the Yo Gabba Gabba gang dancing across the front of cardstock (you can draw them, print out the images, or find groovy stickers at the craft store). Your child might enjoy coloring it in, too! Add something fun like “Get your Dancy Dance moves on at _____ birthday party!” There are some very colorful pre-made invitations that you can get, as well.
Get their tummies full with fare like Funny Face Pizzas – the guests can even make their own! The vegetables on Yo Gabba Gabba feel sad when they don’t get invited to the activities, so have a Veggie & Fruit Bar. Set this up with baby carrots, olives, celery sticks, strips of red and yellow bell peppers, cucumbers, strawberries, kiwi… let the imagination go wild here! Offer a variety of dips to go along with it such as rand dressing, peanut butter, cream cheese, sun butter, and more! Top the party cake with super cool cake toppers!
Burn off that fantastic lunch with Dancy Dance time where everyone shows off their best dance moves!! When you are ready to start the music, say the magic phrase “Yoooooo Gabba Gabba” to get the party groovin’! Additionally, you can play “Music Freeze” where everyone is frozen when the music stops. Of course, making your own Gabba character is fun, too, with construction paper, crayons, and glue.
You don’t have to be a toddler to enjoy “gettin’ down” with the dance moves of the Yo Gabba Gabba crew, but your child will be especially thrilled with a Yo Gabba Gabba Birthday party!
