Upcoming Holidays to Place on Your Calendar

There are a number of upcoming holidays that you may want to spend some time placing on your calendar and making preliminary plans for.  It is always good to spend some time looking forward and making sure that you will not miss out on something.

First Day of Spring – The Spring Equinox happens on this Friday, March 20th this year.  This day is often met with hope for warmer weather and plants beginning to sprout and bloom in the garden.  Celebrate spending some time outdoors or visiting a local plant nursery to make plans for your garden.

April Fool’s Day – This fun loving day takes place on the first day of April every year.  Pranksters abound hoping to fool others.  If pranks are not your style, perhaps you can put a spin on the day spreading acts of kindness instead.  Hold a door open for another, pay for someone’s cup of coffee or place a special treat in your child’s lunchbox instead.

Easter – This high Holy season for Christians begins on April 5th with Palm Sunday and concludes on April 12th with Easter.  Good Friday is April 10th.  Make sure that all of your Easter partyware and Easter game needs are met.

Passover – The Jewish faith celebrates this holiday beginning on April 9th this year.  The Festival of the Unleavened Bread lasts for seven days to commerate the Isrealites leaving Egypt.

Administrative Professional’s Day – Remember to thank your Administrative Professionals with a card and a small token of your appreciation on Wednesday April 22nd.  Gift cards to their favorite restaurant or flowers are always appropriate.

While you have your calendar pulled out, it is also a good time to look for upcoming birthdays for your family and friends.  Make sure you have a birthday card to mail to extended friends and family.  For immediate family members it is time to start thinking about planning their birthday parties.
