A Tea Party Birthday will delight just about any young girl and is a fabulous way to celebrate her special day.
Make up invitations in the shape of a tea pot and use calligraphy to detail the event information. Depending on the age of your child, remind your guests to bring a doll to share in the tea party festivities. Personalized Tea Party Invitations are also a marvelous way to go.
Set your tables up with saucers and tea cups sitting on top of lacy doilies, little bowls filled with sugar cubes, and flowers in vases. Your table can be adorned with Tea Party foods such as finger sandwiches cut into heart and flower shapes (use cookie cutters to make it easy), mini cupcakes, lemon bars, and of course tea. Your “tea” can be a fruit tea or pink lemonade.
Your first activity should be Dress Up! In your planning phase, head to thrift stores for fantastically fancy hats, beautiful dresses, glimmering shoes, and, of course, white tea gloves. Have all the guests gussy up before dining at the table. You can play a game with the sugar cubes, too, by stacking them to see who can make the highest tower.
No party would be complete without favors. We recommend the Tea for You Party Favor Box with a faux pearl necklace, coloring book, sticker sheet, flower coin purse, stick on earrings, and crayons. It will certainly enchant your fancy tea drinkers.
You really can’t go wrong with a sweet and proper Tea Party Birthday. The only thing sweeter than the sugar cubes will be the charming kidlets.
