Star Wars Birthday Party Planning

Star Wars Birthday PartyToday is George Lucas’s birthday.  Happy Birthday George!  He is the creator of Star Wars, as well as many other popular movies.  In honor of his birthday we thought it would be nice to share some Star Wars Birthday Party ideas.

Your party always begins with sending an invitation to your party guests.  A great Star Wars party invitation that you can make yourself is very simple.  Using cardstock cut into star shapes and print your party details directly on the star.  Or you can use a premade invitation featuring Darth Vader.   There are also personalized Star Wars invitations that feature lightsabers.

Star Wars party food can be made super easy by using the recipes from The Star Wars Cookbook. This handy tool contains such recipes as Darth Double Dogs, Boss Nash Broccoli, and Qui-Gon Jinn-ger Snaps.  Use the Star shaped cake pan and top with a Darth Vader birthday candle for the birthday cake.

A fun party activity can be Destroy the Death Star.  Similar to pin the tail on the donkey it has a Star Wars twist.  Using white poster board, cut out a large circle.  This is your Death Star.  Mark one section of the Death Star as the air shaft leading to the reactor core.  Using a more posterboard cut out little x-wing fighters.  Each guest will then be blindfolded in turn and instructed to “Use the Force” to get their x-wing closest to the air shaft opening.

May the Force be with you as your plan your child’s Star Wars birthday party.
