Sunny days chasing the clouds away…. we all remember the words to that song growing up and knowing how our children love the show today, we can make their birthday memories just as wonderful with a Sesame Street Birthday Party Theme.
Invitations made to look like your child’s favorite character are a cute way to start the event festivities. Trace the outline of your chosen Sesame Street friend, such as Elmo, Big Bird, or Grover, on colored paper to glue to squares of cardstock. Decorate with crayons, snazzy markers, and glue-on eyes and be sure to fill in all the party details on the back. You can make it a little easier on yourself with some Sesame Street Sunny Days Invitations, too.
On the big day, go all out with fabulous decorations such as Big Bird’s footprints lining your driveway up to the house, streamers in yellow, blue, and red, birthday banners, and a fantastic giant Elmo Airwalker Jumbo Balloon! You can even get a fun Sesame Street tableware pack.
Serve the food that the Sesame Street gang would enjoy, like “Word of the Day” cookies, mini pigs in a blanket, goldfish (in honor of Elmo’s pet, Dorothy), and Sesame Street juice boxes by Apple & Eve. Naturally, follow it up with a cake shaped like your favorite character or topped with adorable Sesame Street Birthday Candles.
Filling the day with fun activities will have everyone remembering the day for a long time. Make Big Bird’s Feet on large sheets of colored paper to play “Musical Feet” (just like musical chairs). Chase bubbles around and spend some time coloring some activity sheets from the Sesame Street website. Before sending the kids home, hand out goodie bags filled with Sesame Street-themed favors. The Sesame Street Alphabet Favor Box is filled with stickers, crayons, Elmo notepad, Sesame Street blowout, glitter ball, and rubber ducky. Fun!
Your little tot and friends will be thrilled with the Sesame Street Birthday Party Theme. So sit back, watch the fun, and enjoy the memories.
