Pirate Birthday Party Planning

Pirate Birthday PartyAhoy Mateys!  Time to swab the decks and prepare for a Pirate Birthday Party.  Grab yer cutlass, put on your pirate hat and invite your land lubber friends over for a party.  Here are some ideas sure to make your party a success.

Pirates were always in search of buried treasure.  Theme your party around trying to find the loot.  Create pirate birthday party invitations in the shape of a map.  Invite your guests over for a treasure hunt.  Give them a list of things that a pirate says to prepare for the day.

A great activity for a pirate party is a treasure hunt.  Create a map with X marking the spot for hidden treasure.  Or create a clue hunt.  The first clue will lead to the next clue and so on.  Once they reach the final hiding spot there should be a treasure chest of loot for your “pirates” to share in the spoils.

Pirates are a hearty bunch and will require a large amount of grub.  Get in the galley and prepare some pirate favorites.  Serve food that can be eaten without silverware, such as turkey legs, hot dogs, and kebabs.  Use the Pirate Ship Cake Pan to create a birthday cake that will go down in legend.

Don’t forget to send your guests home with a bag of loot.  Remember to throw in as many pirate phrases that you can that day.  That’s an order from the Captain.  Aye!
