Minnie Mouse Birthday Party Ideas

Minnie Mouse Birthday PartyThe Little Elf in our house is getting ready for her first trip to Walt Disney World at the end of the month.  She is most excited to meet Minnie Mouse, because she is pretty.  In honor of that I thought I would share some Minnie Mouse birthday party ideas to help you plan the perfect party.

The distinctive mouse ears are highly recognizable so if you are interested in making your own party invitations it can be pretty easy.  You will need black construction paper or cardstock, as well as red, pink or another accent color of your choice.  Overlay three circles in order to make a template.  You will want one larger circle and two smaller circles the same size.  Trace onto a piece of scrap cardstock to make a template and cut.  Then trace around on each of the black sheets of paper.  Cut out the mouse head shape.  You will also want to use the accent paper to cut out a bow, because Minnie Mouse doesn’t go anywhere without her famous accessory.  Print the party details onto white or ivory paper and glue onto the black cardstock.  Afix the bow and your invitations are set.  We also have premade Minnie Mouse party invitations that you fill in the party details on as well.

As each guest arrives you should have a set of Minnie Mouse ears for each child to wear.  A great craft would be to let each child accessorize them with the ribbon of their choice.  Make sure you put their name on the ears right away to prevent mixups.

A mouse ear cookie cutter can go a long way at a Minnie Mouse birthday party.  You can make Minnie Mouse sugar cookies and cut sandwiches with the cookie cutter.  Peanut butter and jelly or grilled cheese are both great choices.  Make a sheet cake and use the cookie cutter to cut individual pieces of cake into the distinctive shape.  It helps if the cake is slightly frozen before cutting.

Hopefully these ideas will help you on your way to planning a great Minnie Mouse birthday party.  Your daughter will love the special attention to details and your guests will have a wonderful time.
