rubber ducky birthday partyA perfect birthday party theme for your 1 year old or toddler is a rubber ducky birthday party. This fun theme will have all of your guests, young and old, smiling and singing the Rubber Ducky song.

Set the mood with your invitations. Get rubber ducky invitations or make your own. With the help of photo editing software and some duck graphics, you could take a picture of your child and create the perfect invite. A photo suggestion: place your child in a bubble bath surrounded by rubber ducks. For an elaborate invitation you could find a small shipping container and fill it with a rubber duck, bar of soap, and a bath poof or sponge. Remember to include all of the party information: for who, when, where, what time, and where to RSVP.

Your party definitely needs lots of rubber ducks in attendance. You can get Rubber Ducky partyware in both a plain and first birthday version. Decorate the walkway leading to your house with chalk duck prints. Serve blue punch with duck shaped ice cubes or mini rubber ducks floating on top. Decorate with balloon “bubbles.” Fish shaped crackers in buckets marked “duck feed” are the perfect snack. If it is a nice day outside, have a bubble machine going. The Rubber Ducky cake pan is a must for the birthday child.

A duck piƱata is sure to be a hit with your young guests. Consider getting a pull string conversion kit so that everyone can participate. Also perfect in small spaces. In a baby bath, large bucket, or regular bath tub you can play a version of the “pluck the duck” carnival game. Mark the bottoms of ducks with permanent marker in different colors. Let each child pick a floating duck. Have different prizes that correspond with the colors. Create a pin the bill on the duck game.

Having a great rubber ducky party can be easy with the right ideas and party supplies. It will be one that your child and your guests remember for a long time.
