One of the most popular meals of the day is breakfast. So why not throw a Breakfast Birthday Party? This is a great type of party to host any time of day. Plus it is an easy one to have. The menu can be simple or elaborate and most people will absolutely love it.
Crafting your own invitations is the perfect way to set the party. Using cardstock or construction paper cut out toaster and bread shapes. You can either glue the bread to the toaster or if you are really creative then create a “slot” in the toaster for the bread to slide in and out of. Print your party details on the piece of bread. Alternatively you could cut out a bunch of circles (use a glass or cookie cutters as a template) from brown cardstock and make a stack of pancakes for the invitations.
Next up is planning the menu. Pancakes and waffles are always a hit. You can either make them the day of the party or in advance. Pancakes and waffles can both be frozen. If you do freeze them they will not be as good, but it can be a great time saver. You can also find frozen hash browns at grocery store that only need to be fried in a pan or skillet. Scrambled eggs will complete the triple play of a simple breakfast. You can also serve items such as sausage, cinnamon rolls, create your own omelets, donuts, etc.
Beyond the usual syrup and butter as pancake and waffle toppings, have some other toppings available. Apples, raspberries and strawberries in sauce are great ideas. Whipped cream is always popular.
Activities for a breakfast party can vary depending on the age of your crowd. You could do an egg and spoon relay race for a younger crowd. A teenage crowd may enjoy viewing the movie The Breakfast Club. Arts and Crafts are always fun.
A Breakfast Birthday Party is sure to be one that your guests will enjoy. And you will probably have a great time planning and hosting it as well. Enjoy the pancakes!
