cupcake birthday partyCupcakes are hip, hot and definitely a must have item at your next birthday party. Many areas have at least one cupcake bakery and many local bakeries have started to stock more cupcakes than full size cakes. There are even fancy cupcake stands to show them all off. If you have a cupcake lover in your family than a Cupcake Birthday Party is the perfect birthday party to host for them. Here are some great ideas for planning a cupcake birthday party.

Cupcakes should definitely make an appearance on the birthday party invitations. You want to set the stage that this party is for a special person and that it is all about cupcakes. Either make your own cupcake invitations using stamps, cardstock or stickers (your local craft or scrapbook store should have everything that you need) or order some really cute Tiny Prints Personalized Birthday Party Invitations.

Check out the local cupcake bakeries in your area and do some taste testing to find the best ones.  This part of the cupcake birthday party planning should be a blast and your birthday child will love to help out.  Definitely look for a cupcake that is visually appealing as well as moist and a treat to eat.

If you would like to bake your own cupcakes than take a tip from the pros and add a fruit puree to the mix.  Not only will you be able to customize the flavor it will also help to keep the cupcake moist.  Since a cupcake is only frosted on the top, they are much more likely to lose moisture than a full size cake.

Put cupcakes everywhere to decorate.  Place them on the tables, the buffet, everywhere that you can think of.  It is a cupcake party after all so use them to your advantage as a decoration.

Let your party guests decorate their own cupcake.  Have frosting in an assortment of colors as well as sprinkles, colored sugar, and little candies.  Your guests will delight in being able to make their own creation.  Give them the option to either eat their cupcake for dessert or to take home for later as a party favor.

Your birthday child will love this cupcake birthday party created especially for them.  Have a wonderful time planning it and an even better time enjoying it.
