Those sweet lovable bears carry such a strong message about love, friendship, and caring which is why it is such an easy choice to throw our little ones a wonderful Care Bears Birthday Party.
Creating your own Care Bears invitations is easy. On the front of cardstock, draw a rainbow going from side to side. Print out an outline of a Care Bear and have your kiddo color it in. Arrange your Care Bear on top of the rainbow and write out your party information on the inside. There are, of course, very nice pre-made ones that feature our favorite Bears.
The Care Bears are all about sharing, so think of foods that are easy to share! Think mini pizzas (or Pizza Rolls), fruit, sandwiches cut into bear shapes, and baby vegetables. Items that are colorful like the rainbow are also snazzy, like Rainbow Fruit Parfaits (layer blueberries, strawberries, orange slices, and kiwi between thin coats of yogurt) or sweet pink lemonade.
Fans of the Care Bears will enjoy face painting with their favorite Care Bear Emblem and a story time with the characteristic sweet stories. A rousing game of “Musical Clouds” should also be added to the itinerary. Played just like Musical Chairs, except you use images of clouds (drawn on construction paper) or fluffy pillows. Drawing beautiful rainbows on the sidewalk with chalk is a lot of fun, too! Be sure to send the kids home with their own Care Bears party favor box, too, with goodies such as a Care Bear mask, whistle, stickers, heart spring, and candy necklace.
After all the sharing and friendly activity involved with a Care Bear Birthday Party, I think you can call it an un-BEAR-ingly Caring day!
