Barbie Birthday PartyBarbie was introduced in 1959 and by some estimates is owned by 90 percent of all girls from the age of 3 to 11 in the United States.  She was introduced at the American International Toy Fair on March 9, 1959.  Since then she has held a wide range of careers and has many friends.  She is also a popular choice for a birthday party.  Host a Barbie Birthday Party for your child with these ideas.

Barbie loves spending time with her friends and she loves fashion.  Those are two things that your child has in common with Barbie.  Write in the invitations that party guests should dress up for this party.  The invitations should be addressed to each guest and their favorite Barbie.  After all what is is a Barbie birthday party without Barbie in attendance?

A fun birthday party activity could be to create matching tiaras for the party guests and their Barbies.  Have a table ready with construction paper, glue, glitter, and stickers and a couple of adults on hand to help out.  You may want to have smocks or large t-shirts on hand to keep the mess off the party dresses.

Cupcakes are definitely in this party season as well as having a decorate your own cupcake station.  Have the cupcakes prebaked and set out different colors of frosting as well as mini candles and sprinkles for the guests.  A cute touch would be to have mini cupcakes as well so that they can make one for their Barbie.

Your daughter and her guests are sure to enjoy this Barbie birthday party.  Remember to take a bunch of pictures so that she can look back and smile.
