We are in full on birthday party planning mode in the Partyelf household. The littlest elf is about to turn 4 and has requested a ballerina birthday party this year. It has been a lot of fun to plan and I am enjoying her increased input and participation in the process.
We are hosting the party at home this year for about 20 guests. That is about the limit our for our home and any larger we would definitely be looking into an alternative party location. In fact with the combination of party preparation and spring cleaning going on, hosting the party elsewhere seems very appealing.
I think one of the most creative and low cost options is hosting the party at a local mall’s food court. Food, tables, and space are all readily available. Please inquire with the mall management about their policies first. Most malls also have an indoor play space for children, so they will have a chance to run and play.
With only a few days left, our RSVP are mostly in, the cupcakes have been ordered, and the menu is planned. There are still gifts to wrap, party favors to put together, house cleaning, and cookies to bake. Everyone that attends will be taking home a gift bag of home baked sugar cookies. It is a nice touch for any party and is a way to give the grownups a thank you gift. Party favors for the children are very cute personalized zipper pulls and magnets. These great party favors started at just 99 cents a piece and can be customized for each child.
Within the next week we will hopefully be sharing some details of the party, such as the handmade ballerina party invitations and a close up of the ballerina party theme.
