We all know the stress that comes when going to a party where you know very few people. With some fun ice breaking games, it’s painless to relieve that worry and encourage quality interaction.
- Printable party games are super entertaining and can really be personalized depending on the party theme (such as birthdays, holidays, baby showers, etc).
- Puzzle Jumble: cut out a few pictures into puzzles and place into a bag to shake up. Your guests then pull out a puzzle piece and, at the sound of ‘go,’ they must find the other party goers who have matching pieces. Once congregated, they work together to put together the puzzle. The first group to do so wins!
- Where Were You? This is really a fun game (especially when people have to stretch their memory muscles). Write down various dates on slips of paper (like Jan 1987 or the summer of 1990), place in a bowl folded up, and have everyone choose one. Each person has to tell where they were and what they were doing on that date.
- A great ice breaker suitable for all ages is called Four Corners. Fold a sheet of paper into quarters and then open it back up so the lines of the folds are visible. The guest then draws something about themselves in each square related to the topics chosen (like Favorite Hobbies, What kind of animal I would be, Favorite vacation spot, etc). Allow them 10 to 15 minutes to draw and then gather them all to share together.
These fun ice breaking games should work fabulously in bringing out the wall flowers at your next shin dig.
