Valentine’s Day is just around the corner (already!) and there is nothing sweeter than a party for kids filled with hearts, treats, and loving friendship. These tips should help you pull off a Valentine’s Day Party with complete confidence.
Invitations can be made quite easily by pasting red cardstock, cut into hearts, onto white paper doilies so that the lacy edges frame the heart. Use silver glitter pens to write your party details on the heart. In fact, this is a super easy project for your child to help with! On party day, get the romantic Valentine’s look by sprinkling heart confetti everywhere, setting the table with Valentine’s tableware, and draping red tulle around the doorways and windows.
To keep the children entertained, play games like Heart Hunt (a scavenger hunt for hidden hearts), Chopstick Pickup (who can pick out the most candy hearts from the bowl using only their chopsticks), or Musical Hearts (played just like musical chairs except on large cutout hearts). Other ideas like painting flower vases out of milk cartons or writing 5 kind things about person to their left in the circle are just as fun, too. Your guests will enjoy party favors filled with lovely treats and charming goodies.
Serve delicious delights like romantic marinara pasta with garlic bread and croissants filled with strawberries and whipped cream for dessert. Yummm ….!
Valentine’s Day is about friendship, love, and togetherness. This is the perfect way to celebrate the day with your child.
