Thanksgiving Party Games

Thanksgiving Party GamesWith all of us together on Thanksgiving, the opportunity to play fun games is impossible to ignore. Not to mention that it will get you out of mom’s hair while she slaves in the kitchen over delectable goodies for the dinner table. So, pick some of your favorite Thanksgiving party game ideas from the list below to get the party going:

The smaller crowd might enjoy kiddie games like Hot Pumpkin (just like Hot Potato), Turkey-Turkey-Stuffing (instead of Duck-Duck-Goose), or Mother May I? Everyone would like a game of Beanbag Toss using a scooped out pumpkin as the goal.

The older participants can play some of my favorite traditional games like Bobbing for Apples, Horseshoes, or Tag Football. For a water-free variation of Bobbing for Apples, you can hang them from the ceiling with string. It’s quite amusing watching people stand on their tip-toes to grab an apple with their mouth!

There’s an awesome site that lets you print out games to play. So how about Thanksgiving Bingo using candy corn as your markers? Or a thrilling Turkey Trivia challenge! Thanksgiving was a day that my family also pulled out the infamous board games like Monopoly, Life, or Trivial Pursuit. Personally, I plan on us trying Apples to Apples this year.

Whichever Thanksgiving Party Games you choose to play, take pleasure in the closeness of family and friends, the joy of sharing and giving, and the laughter that ensues.
