The following is a guest post.
I’m Tracey from we love crafty Tracey and I’m so excited to be here on Party Elf! With Christmas right around the corner, I wanted to share some ideas for packaging handmade sweets for Christmas parties and gift giving this year.
Every Christmas I bake a variety of sweets and treats for gifting throughout the holidays. Sometimes gingersnap cookies, always shortbread and pistachio fudge, and when I’m feeling really crafty, La Tire Ste-Catherine, a French-Canadian, hand pulled molasses taffy.
I love packaging foodie gifts so they look as good as they taste. This year I found some fantastically festive packaging for bundling up my sweets.
Like these red and green striped gable boxes from Celebrate Express.
Imagine how lovely a pumpkin spice loaf would look wrapped in candy cane striped parchment, tied with a bit twine and placed inside this box. Or, if you are hosting a cookie exchange party, display these boxes with the cookies your guests bring to the party. Then each guest has a festive box to package up their cookies to bring home!
I like to gift a dozen of my favorite cookies to a dozen of my favorite people, so this smaller, taller red and green striped cookie box with a window is perfect!
I love how you can see the stack of cookies through the window.
With little girls in the house, I like to add a hint of pink to my Christmas celebrations which is why I love these striped cupcake boxes also from Celebrate Express.
Perfect for packaging some Christmas cupcakes covered in pink icing and peppermints. Toss out that insert and this box would also work very nicely for squares and cookies!
I found some candy cane salt water taffy to hand out this Christmas, so I’m using my Classic Vintage Pillow Boxes to package up a small handful of taffy for the nieces and nephews.
Hot glue a loop of ribbon to one end, and these pretty little packages are perfect for attaching to gifts or hanging on the Christmas tree!
I’ll be hosting a Christmas gathering for family this year and whenever I host a party, I like to have a selection of pretty little bags or boxes on hand to pack up some goodies for guests to bring home. These polka dot treat boxes from Shop Sweet Lulu look like bags, but can handle a little extra weight, and they’re super cute!
I love the dainty polka dots and scallop edging!
Thanks so much to Party Elf for having me over to share some of my favorite packaging ideas with you today. I hope these pretty little packages have inspired you to gift some of your favorite home baked goodies this Christmas!
